Known for her works inspired by repetition and infinity, Los Angeles-based artist Jen Stark recently completed a psychedelic mural across the flagship location of PLATFORM in Culver City, California. Aptly titled “Technicolor Ooze,” her latest work features wavy streaks of blue, green, purple, red, orange and yellow, juxtaposed with dizzying black and white patches that seem to run down the side of the commercial space, while weaving their way through the window frames in striking fashion. Head over to Stark’s homepage and Instagram to view more of her captivating works.

A Closer Look: Rolls-Royce Alpine Trial Centenary Collection Ghost
In 1913, Rolls-Royce embarked on a journey that involved sending its Works Team in three distinct, ‘Alpine Eagle’ Silver Ghosts and a private entrant James Radley out to conquer 1,820 miles of rigorous mountain terrain. The completion and performance of the journey established Rolls-Royce as the winner of the prestigious Archduke Leopold Cup among other awards and effectively solidified their reputation as the ‘Best Car in the World.’ Drawing inspiration from this iconic milestone and moment in the Rolls-Royce pantheon, the company recently debuted a special homage to the journey via the Rolls-Royce Alpine Trial Centenary Collection Ghost.
Taking cues from the original models that triumphed the terrain, design elements feature a plethora of bespoke elements including exterior paint hues that show a close resemblance to Radley’s Silver Ghost as well as the a replication of the original black wheels and front grill. On the interior, elegant interpretations of the terrain are inlaid into the front dashboard while an intricately designed clock features notches that display the stages of the rally and the timings.
HYPEBEAST recently had the opportunity to test out and drive the car around for a few days while spending some time in Los Angeles. Captured through the lens of Photography by V, the car was highlighted along the coast of Manhattan Beach in Southern California. Further information on the Rolls-Royce Alpine Trial Centenary Collection Ghost can be found through the Rolls Royce website here while an in-depth historical archive can be viewed here.
