Nike Announces $50 Billion USD Sales Goal and DreamWorks Partnership During Its Investor Day Meeting

Nike recently finished up the broadcast for the 2015 Investor Day meeting via live webcast from its World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Focusing on the sportswear giant’s forthcoming initiatives to achieve sustainable and profitable growth in the long-term, the Swoosh’s executives announced a number of investments and partnerships that would help accelerate innovation across all areas of its business to “delivery the very best to athletes everywhere – when and where they want it.” Some of the highlights include a new partnership with DreamWorks on their newly formed NOVA visualization platform; President and CEO Mark Parker’s opening statement on Nike’s expectation to deliver $50 billion USD by the end of fiscal year 2020; and COO Erik Sprunk’s address in the company’s manufacturing advancements, including Flyknit, ColorDry, and 3D printing.
