Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo
Following the introduction of Nissan‘s CONCEPT 2020, Volkswagen has unveiled its own conceptualization for Gran Turismo 6‘s ongoing Vision Gran Turismo project: the GTI Roadster. Carrying VW’s GTI DNA, the all-wheel-drive supercar is the latest evolution of the GTI’s style-defining design elements. Powered by a 3.0 twin-turbo VR6 TSI engine, the vehicle delivers 503 HP along with 490 lb/ft via a 7-speed dual-cluth transmission and sport programming. Aerodynamically, th car is optimized with massive front and rear spoilers while offering superior downforce and handling thanks to an integrated rear diffuser. As far as aesthetics go, the Roadster sports an extremely low-cut windscreen, bold metallic red paint scheme, and 20″ wheels – all four of which come equipped with 14″ ventilated ceramic brakes.
While VW’s gorgeous design might not make it to the road anytime soon, fans can get behind the wheel of the latest GTI via the PlayStation 3 racer’s Update 1.09.
