After much anticipation, the second Steve Jobs-based film in roughly two years has finally been revealed by virtue of a new trailer. Michael Fassbender’s portrayal of the iconic creative and entrepreneur already looks convincing in the film preview, which details the focused premise of the film. Instead of ambitiously aiming to cover the entirety of Jobs’ life from start to finish, Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin zero in on three pivotal product launches for Apple/Macintosh, using the behind-the-scenes tension and technical context to fill in our understanding of Jobs’ ascent, fall, and ultimate immortalization. Featuring the likes of Seth Rogen (as co-founder Steve Wozniak) and Kate Winslet (as former Macintosh marketing chief Joanna Hoffman), enjoy the trailer above. Look for Steve Jobs to hit theaters on October 9.
