Apple Stores Will Undergo Major Changes Designed Around the Apple Watch With Added Security and Revamped Experience

After reporting that Apple Store employees are being trained to offer fashion advice to aspiring Apple Watch owners, we now have more information regarding how else Apple’s stores and services will change. Firstly, while the store facades will look similar, the shopping experience has been revamped. If you’re looking to purchase an Apple Watch, you have the option of booking an appointment at an Apple Store or waiting in line for walk-ins, where an Apple Watch specialist will walk you through the entire process. With the option of choosing up to two Watch models, you will then be taken to a new “try-on” area, where the specialist will also introduce accessories and offer advice. And of course, prior to purchase, you’ll have the option of including AppleCare+ as well. As reported, Apple will have very limited retail stock for Apple Watches due to the variety of models, so if you’re looking to get your hands on one early on, the Apple Store reservation system is your best bet.

However, a unique and personal purchasing experience has been developed just for the 18-karat gold Apple Watch Edition. The watch, with a starting retail price of $10,000 USD, will include perks such as no-wait access to a dedicated expert who will walk you through a personal “journey,” and the option to have a video conference for at-home set-up rather than an in-store set-up. Due to the price of the watch, extra security protocols have been developed to reduce the risk of theft. Surely, if you’re interested in this iteration of the Watch, you’re in for an experience that hopes to match its price tag.
