Devil’s Fork Draws an Impossible Triangle Illusion

I love the impossible triangle illusion and the devil’s fork illusion. I know I posted a devil’s fork illusion the other day, but I can’t help myself! They’re just classic illusions that no one can really miss and everyone “gets”. So, I was super excited when I ran across this illusion with the combination of the two!

Fork and Triangle illusion

It’s a pretty neat little illusion, I think! The devil’s fork illusion in this image is drawn to look like a series of three pencils. The middle pencil looks like a pencil at the bottom, but as you follow it up, it looks like just the space between the two pencils on the outside. To make things even more interesting, the pencils in the devil’s fork illusion are positioned so that they appear to be drawing the impossible triangle illusion.

It’s all very confusing and wonderfully enigmatic! It’s getting harder to find true optical illusions these days, so I’m always happy when I run across images like these. Even new twists on classic optical illusions, like this devil’s fork and impossible triangle, are a breath of fresh air. Well, at least in my illusion rattled brain!

What do you think about this devil’s fork and impossible triangle illusion combo? If you love this new twist on a classic favorite, make sure you give it a 5 star rating below!

New double Fantastic Man covers show Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan weeping

Fantastic-man-22_1-785x525-list

Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan graces the new double-cover designs for Fantastic Man magazine, shown in two portraits shot by Inez and Vinoodh. In the white cover version the actor (who played Special Agent Dale Cooper in the David Lynch directed television series) is shown staring at the camera lens (like that photography of Laura Palmer?), stony-faced but with a large tear running down his cheek. In the other entirely red cover (like the red room, perhaps?), he has his eyes closed. The magazine’s feature interviews the actor about the return of Twin Peaks after its 25 year break.
