Good morning! I hope everyone’s weekend is going well. The rain has stopped here, and we finally have some nice weather. Perfect weather for taking the dog for a long stroll in the park. It’ll be nice to get out and get some exercise after a rainy couple of weeks here.
Speaking of dogs, I found an interesting negative space food chain optical illusion in my Internet travels the other day…
What’s the first animal you see in this food chain optical illusion? Was it the dog or the cat? The dog is the large white part on the left side of the image, and the cat is tucked away neatly in the dog’s mouth. You gotta love the interesting red collar touch. It looks like a little blood on the dog’s canine tooth. Creepy, no?
So, you’ve probably spotted the dog and the cat by now in this food chain optical illusion, but do you see another animal here? I’m not going to give it away, but I’ll give you a hint—what’s a cat’s favorite live snack?

Versatile illustrator Daniel Gray takes on all manner of subject matter
Daniel Gray is an illustrator, but a past manifestation of himself wore a white coat and a stethoscope. He says he dropped out of Medical Science “when he realised illustration had a much lower patient mortality rate.” Looking at his portfolio though, I’d say he’s a guy drawn to tricky jobs.
