Initiated by MIT Media Lab, Biologic was created to further harness the power of nature in an attempt to break away from its generic applications and into the realms of highly technical apparel design. Biologic’s clothing has been constructed with hygrophobic nano-actuators that react to the body’s temperature and humidity levels before transforming. After carefully heat mapping the body’s surface to better understand where such technology would be most effective, Biologic has called on digital printing techniques in order to apply the organisms to each design’s perforated panelling.
