Under the eclectic, somewhat sporadic direction of designer Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER presents its latest burger-centric capsule collection produced exclusively for Dover Street Market. Referencing the heavy graphical pieces presented in UNDERCOVER’s most recent 2015 fall/winter offering, the slightly satirical capsule is presented across a range of crewneck sweaters, T-shirts and one hooded sweater. Amongst a collage of burgers, UNDERCOVER has done well to retain recognizable cues such as the brand’s block-like “U” letter branding and an illustrated take on its famed Hamburger Lamp. KAWS “Final Days” @ CAC Málaga
The momentum from KAWS‘ success in the latter half of the 2013 – dotted by an appearance on the cover of Paper and a show at Mary Boone Gallery – has taken the artist beyond domestic bounds. The New York-based artist will now showcase his work in Málaga, Spain, opening the “Final Days” exhibition at the Centro De Arte Contemporáneo De Málaga (CAC de Málaga) – his first solo museum show outside of the U.S. The exhibition will highlight KAWS’ large wooden “Companion” figures, some as large as 19 feet, each articulated to convey a range of human emotions.
