Pepsi Will Release Its Pepsi Perfect Bottle From ‘Back to the Future’ This Month

After plenty of rumors regarding a possible release for the Pepsi Perfect earlier in the year, the beverage company has finally confirmed that the bottle from Back to the Future II will in fact be available for purchase starting October 21. Much to the delight of the iconic film trilogy’s fans, the limited edition collectible will be sold online for around $20 USD (significantly cheaper than the $50 USD Doc Brown gave Marty McFly in the film), but will only be producing 6,500 of them, while 1,500 of them will be distributed for the forthcoming New York Comic Con this week. “Fans have always been a little crazy about it and so we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Marty travelled to the future, to this month, and wanted to actually come out with the product,” stated the Lou Arbetter, PepsiCo’s senior director of marketing, proving just how big of an impact the Robert Zemeckis-directed films had on its legion of fans. The company’s promotion is just the latest to capitalize on the film’s 30th anniverary, after the likes of Nike, AMC and Amazon all announced special products and services for this commemorative event. Make sure to keep close attention to Pepsi’s social media accounts as we draw closer to the release date.
