Sony has officially announced that sequels Bad Boys III and IV are in the works. It’s been 12 years since the release of Bad Boys II, and while director Michael Bay headed the first two Bad Boys films, no director has been officially confirmed for the upcoming sequels. Joe Carnahan (director of Smokin’ Aces, The Grey, and Narc) has reportedly joined the team to write the script for both films. And most importantly, we’re still hoping Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be reprising their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. Bad Boys III is set for a February 17, 2017 release date, while Bad Boys IV will be out July 3, 2019. Stay tuned as we await more information on the coming releases.
