Bottega Veneta 2016 Spring/Summer Collection

Tomas Maier has unveiled Bottega Veneta’s latest at Milan Fashion Week. The line’s 2016 spring/summer collection offers an array of looks tied together by a united color palette consisting of rather cool hues. Models donned hooded fleeces matched with solid, complementary colored pants finished with ribbed hems. Silk blazers and trousers, sporting multicolored linear patterns shimmered, in direct contrast to their solid counterparts. Quilted fabrics, wool, and cotton round out the distinct textures utilized to construct the line’s newest pieces. Various collar ensembles cement Maier’s imaginative display of a “California getaway” reminiscent of the ’60s. A noteworthy takeaway from Bottega Veneta’s 2016 spring/summer collection is the statement look of pairing socks with open toe sandals.
