Pizza is best enjoyed piping hot under the glow of a movie screen, and knowing this, Pizza Hut Hong Kong has endeavored to add even more convenience to the experience by way of a pizza box that can transform into a movie projector. Working with Ogilvy & Mather, the final result is the “Blockbuster Box” which incorporates a special pizza protector. Upon emptying the box of its contents, the plastic lens is removed from the pizza protector then inserted into a perforated pop-out hole on the side. The pizza protector is then turned on its side to prop your phone up, whereupon your phone screen would be projected through the lens onto a nearby wall. Featuring four different illustrated box designs, each box comes with a separate movie download by way of QR code: there’s Slice Night for horror, Anchovy Armageddon for sci-fi, Hot & Ready for romance, and Fully Loaded for action. Although the image quality is sure to be atrocious, as well as what sound makes it out of your phone’s speakers, this is undeniably a clever marketing gimmick.
