Sotheby’s Unveils “The Most Significant and Valuable Private Automobile Collection Ever Presented at Auction”

We’ve been reporting on supercar auctions for some time now, but according to RM Sotheby’s this is “the most significant and valuable private automobile collection ever presented at auction.” Quite the introduction from one of the world’s leading auction houses. Dubbed the “Pinnacle Portfolio,” the collection includes two Bugatti Veyrons (the first and last coupes made), one of each of the previous Ferrari flagships (288 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo), a Koenigsegg CCXR, Lamborghini Reventon, Maserati MC12, Saleen S7, Mercedes SLR McLaren, Porsche 959, Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1, Ferrari Daytona Spider, Toyota 2000GT and many more. Though the seller wishes to remain private, Autoblog did report that he’s a “private US-based gentleman collector.”

The “Pinnacle Portfolio” will hit the auction block on August 13 in Monterey.
