Allen Iverson Speaks of Haters and Being Different in His New Documentary

Former Philadelphia 76ers point guard Allen Iverson has had an illustrious run by any measure — an 11-time NBA All-Star and NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2001, one would think Iverson has nothing but good memories towards his career. However, as Iverson shares in this clip from his upcoming documentary Iverson, the higher up you go, the more people who want to pull you down. Says Iverson, “I don’t think I should defend myself anymore … I’m a villain to people that don’t rock with me. I’m a superhero to the people that love me and care about me.” Watch the excerpt above, and look for Iverson to premiere on May 16 at 9pm on Showtime.
