Located in the Ishikawa Kanazawa Station Mall, Porter Classic has opened up their fourth retail space. Filled with a collection reaching far beyond the luggage staples for which the brand has become so widely recognised for and moving into the realm of wearable and fashion-forward workwear. From stressed indigo and boro compositions, outdoor flannel shirting and frayed, time-worn pieces the collection has done well to accentuate its surroundings. Based on the concept of a classic French flea market, the new store toys with the idea of a ‘miscellaneous atmosphere’ that will one day fill with a variety of people and brands giving it an almost cosy appeal. Outfitted in a predominantly warm hue of woods and sturdy fixtures, interactive elements such as fully functioning swing sets, hammocks and quirky typographical signage encourage its customer to feel at ease whilst browsing.
