Imagine raising a family in a home like this River House – a place where family and friends get together to enjoy amazing water views from the open space living area on the first floor. Designed by Gerald Smith, this single family residence in Minyama, Queensland, Australia, offers a living experience like few others. We can see from the photos how this home can be considered a bliss: it holds the key to amazing days by the 25 meter lap pool and nights overlooking still waters just a few feet away.
Inside, the double-height living room seems to be drawing in natural light. Polished concrete, natural stone tiles, hardwood timbers and wool carpet were used inside to create a welcoming atmosphere.
An outdoor living room and grill kitchen makes the delight of warm evenings and set the tone for cozy parties by the infinity-edge swimming pool. And who wouldn’t dream of raising children in such a beautiful location? A rumpus room on the lower level ensures children’s happiness and the upper level also boasts a fun-size children’s play area.
