ラルフ ローレンがソチ五輪アメリカ公式ウェアを制作
2014年2月7日(日本時間2月8日)に開幕するソチ冬季オリンピック。そのソチ五輪アメリカ公式ウェアを、アメリカを代表するブランド「ラルフ ローレン(Ralph Lauren)」が手掛けた。
「Made in USA」をスローガンに、星条旗からインスピレーションを受け、ホワイト・ ネイビー・レッドの配色のウェアをデザイン。オリンピック出場選手たちへのエールを込めた、力強いデザインとなっている。
もちろん生産も全て「Made in USA」。アメリカ合衆国内のコットン農家やウール工場での取材をまとめたムービーが制作され公開されている。
なおこのソチ五輪アメリカ公式ウェアはEU主要国とアメリカにあるラルフ ローレンの路面店およびオンラインストアのみで販売中。(日本国内での販売はなし)
