UR New York Talks Preserving New York Art Through Youth and More

We recently met up with UR New York’s own Fernando Romero and Mike Baca to discuss what inspires and drives their artwork. Aiming to preserve the essence of New York through their many canvases, both Romero and Baca have held plenty of gallery exhibits and fundraisers to extend the life of art in New York towards the youth. The tandem’s start began with graffiti and a shared goal of speaking through their work. Carrying the culture of New York on their back with bold artistic pieces, it brings a sense of personal relation to those from New York while also educating those who aren’t — this ethos carries over to their charity work for the Smile Design Gallery where they donated their NY-inspired silkscreens for the organization in hopes to spread word on the benevolent cause. Check out UR New York’s official website for further information on future projects and philanthropy work.
