Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 “Wetsuit” Collection

Converse has gained a new inspiration from adventurous water-sports and placed a twist on the classic Chuck Taylor silhouette. Dubbed the “Wetsuit” Collection, two pairs of Chuck Taylors host black and aquatic blue colorways that are reminiscent of functional wetsuits developed back in the 1970s. Each pair hosts a neoprene upper and seal skin graphics along with a vertical zipper along the heels. You can expect these to release on October 30 for $120 USD at Converse flagship locations along with Converse’s site.

A Closer Look at the Sneaker Politics x Reebok Pump 25th Anniversary

Following our initial look at the collaboration between Sneaker Politics and Reebok in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Pump, we now have more detailed shots of the shoe in an apt setting. Inspired by a historic ice-cream parlor in Lafayette, Florida, which has been a mainstay of the community for decades, the shoe pays tribute with its creamy palette broken by accents of bubblegum blue and cherry red. The upper is made of pigskin suede with perforated paneling, resting atop a white midsole and red outsole. True to the ice-cream theme, the insole is a white and red striped pattern, while the blue release valve component of the Pump on the heel tab is speckled with white. On the tongue reads “Last of a Dying Breed,” referring to the aforementioned ice-cream shop which is the last remaining branch of its franchise. Look for the Sneaker Politics x Reebok Pump 25th Anniversary edition when it drops at Sneaker Politics and Reebok Certified Network stockists on October 25.
