‘Tis the season of the Winter Boot, and adidas‘ latest to hit stores is a bold iteration of the all-black version that incorporates new materials and vibrant laces. The modern runner is ready for winter with its high-cut, abrasion-resistant, ballistic nylon upper, a neoprene inner sockliner, a white midsole and a grippy, trail-inspired rubber lug outsole. Striking yellow rope laces stand out against the shoe’s tonal black construction.

GREATS Hirsh “Cadet”
For its latest silhouette, GREATS looked back at World War II and the classic desert boot — the crepe-soled sand-colored ankle boots worn by local military men in Burma — to craft the brand new Hirsh. Improving upon the original concept by fusing the boot with cues from classic American running shoes, the design boasts a navy suede “Cadet” upper while coupling the deconstructed mid-top look with a hand-stitched leather heel counter, dual-colored EVA midsole and 100% Margom gum rubber outsole. The clean hybrid is due to be available from the GREATS web store beginning this Friday, August 28 for $149 USD.
