Sharp Releases a Robot Smartphone That Nobody Asked For

Japanese electronics giant Sharp has unveiled the RoBoHoN, an anthropomorphic smartphone robot that essentially acts as the physical embodiment of a voice assistant. Able to perform all the duties of a normal smartphone, such as setting alarms and reminders, taking photos and videos, etc., the robot also packs a projector in its head along with facial recognition technology, and boasts a seemingly high degree of automation, as well as the apparent ability to make you cry. While this seems like a concept product, Sharp promises that this very strange robot smartphone is due to hit the market in 2016.
