Bowers & Wilkins has introduced a reimagined 800 Series Diamond Loudspeaker, a result from seven years of improving on one of the best loudspeakers on the market. A combination of research and development, and advanced engineering, this product is “not an update. This is a completely re-imagined design,” according to Bowers & Wilkins’ Head of Research Martial Rousseau. “One of the few remaining elements is the Diamond tweeter. We found it impossible to improve on the performance offered by diamond, although behind the diamond dome, the motor system was improved considerably.”
The most impressive additions is the transformation of the midrange units, featuring a new Continuum cone developed in-house by Bowers & Wilkins engineers. Additionally, a new Aerofoil cone significantly reduces distortion.
