2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn

After announcing the new model back in May, Rolls-Royce has officially taken the wraps off of its brand new model: the Dawn. Inspired by the dropheads of old, the new convertible — which will make its debut next week in Frankfurt — offers many of the same features as its Ghost and Wraith brethren, but sees an exterior overhauled with nearly 80 percent of its panels being completely new (the doors a notable exception). Further adding to the updated look is a chin that’s been pulled forward 2.1 inches, a grille that’s been recessed by 1.7 inches, a silent retractable six-layer canvas top and an open-pore wood deck behind the rear seats. Finally, 20- or 21-inch polished or painted wheels can off the look of the exterior. The vehicle doesn’t skip under the hood either: a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 puts out 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque and can propel the weighty 5,644-pound rear-wheel-drive design from 0 to 62 mph in under five seconds.

Rolls-Royce has already kicked off pre-orders for the Dawn, which will soon be available for the new model year.
