This year’s MTV Video Music Awards is currently taking place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. Tension between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj over Apple Music Beats 1 radio’s nominee announcement, Kanye West’s acceptance of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Justin Bieber’s return to music, and Miley Cyrus’ hosting responsibilities all added towards the immense build-up approaching the event.
