Chicago-based Horween — one of the oldest continuously running tanneries in the United States — is the latest to join forces with New Balance, teaming up with the American sportswear purveyor to customize two silhouettes. The collaborative drop, a seasonal Fall/Winter 2015 release, calls upon two of New Balance’s most popular models: the 1400 and 990. Marked by the use of a burgundy hue, the release sees the 1400 draped in luxurious burgundy leather along with purple lining, matching laces, and a gum rubber outsole while the 990 opts for a predominately grey look as it sports burgundy hits to the branding, heel and tongue branding tab.
Retailing for $320 and $340 USD respectively, the premium leather releases are available now via Sneaker Politics.
