In an increasingly competitive music streaming market, it wasn’t really clear how much success Apple was going have going against Spotify, who boasts a catalogue of 20 million songs and 60 million users across 60+ countries. However it quickly became clear that the Cupertino giant was ready to go all in with its latest venture, by recruiting a host of eclectic personalities that would appeal to a wide range of audiences, while also bringing in industry experts like Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre through the acquisition of Beats Music. According to a recent report on USA TODAY the streaming service already has more than 11 million subscribers in just a little over a month since its launch, though it remains to be seen whether the users will start paying for the service once the three-month trial period comes to an end.
