The HNF Heisenberg XF1 Mountain Bike Is BMW-Powered

BMW‘s “i” division has been noted for harboring a number of interesting projects outside its innovative car constructions by tackling mobile dilemmas both on and off land. Branching away from 4-wheeled design, BMW “i” has introduced a pioneering drive unit swing arm for bicycles and will debut on the HNF Heisenberg XF1 mountain bike. HNF Heisenberg was originally founded to create a viable future for e-bikes and its latest collaboration is not the first of its kind. As a traditional drive unit is normally mounted directly to bicycle’s frame, BMW’s swing arm rotates freely within itself allowing for improved acceleration and handling without the need for a chain tensioner. The mid-motor will evenly distribute power over the axles and through careful development, problematic pedal recoil has been completely removed.
