Ranking as one of, if not the rarest and most covetable sneakers in the world, a pair of the unreleased Nike Air Yeezys worn by Kanye himself at the 2008 Grammy Awards are selling for the astronomical price of $75,000 USD following the launch of new sneaker site The Heat Check. Acquired back in 2009 via a charity auction, the pair was released by the website’s owner and longtime collector Justin Ashby alongside a selection of the most valuable sneakers, at the opening of his Lancaster, Pennsylvania store yesterday.
