Essentials: Brett Viberg

Brett Viberg is the third generation in line of Viberg Boots, a Canadian family-owned boot company founded in 1931 by Ed Viberg. The company is known for its high quality craftmanship since its inception in the ’30s and a dedication to its roots in Victoria, British Columbia. While the company originally marketed itself as workwear apparel, its offerings have been successful in reaching the more sartorial and fashion-conscious crowd. Much of this is due to Brett’s eye and creative vision he’s implemented for the brand. Through successful collaborations with the likes of Nigel Cabourn, Inventory Magazine and The Flat Head, Viberg has managed to retain its heritage while staying at the forefront of trends.

For our latest installment of HYPEBEAST Essentials, Brett presents the staples he carries on the regular. In line with the laid back industrial vibe of Viberg, simple items are in rotation such as an Ebbets Field Flannels cap and a simple BEAMS zip wallet. For thoughts and a space to jot anything down, Viberg carries around his ES – EI leather notebook as well as a Kaweco aluminum pen. Accessories are minimal, with his staple vintage Rolex from WWI. Vega One gives Brett his daily intake of nutrition, while an iPhone, Mophie battery and memory pack helps him stay connected while on-the-go. Lastly, the craftsman shares various Italian calfskin swatches which he uses in the production of the acclaimed Viberg Boots. Head to Viberg’s website for more information on the longstanding label.
