Eley Kishimoto x Vans 2015 Summer “Living Art” Sneaker Collection

Previously, Vans has partnered with the likes of Liberty Art Fabrics on a collection of print-heavy silhouettes. In 2015, the California icon here taps British design house Eley Kishimoto to create a range of footwear, using the Era, Slip-On and SK8-Hi as the canvas for E.K.’s vibrant archival prints. Eley Kishimoto was initially founded in 1992 by husband-wife design duo Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, and has run under the mantra “Print To The World” since its inception. Both the Slip-On and the SK8-Hi feature the house favorite ‘Drum’ print, while the Era is outfitted with a special ‘Whopping Waffle’ motif – which is a deconstruction of the iconic Vans waffle sole. The “Living Art” collection will launch first at House of Vans London on July 11, and is set to arrive online and at global retailers in the following days.
