Maison Margiela 2016 Spring/Summer Collection

The recently revamped Maison Margiela fashion house has presented its 2016 spring/summer line at Paris Fashion Week. The expertise of the tailoring comes second to known, as each look gracefully adorns the build of the respective model. Underscored by the refreshing combination of pristine cuts and classic looks, Maison Margiela’s latest reassuringly signifies the highly esteemed, yet mystifying label is headed in the right direction with freshly appointed Jean Paul Gaultier at the helm. A plethora of breathtaking ensembles were presented on the runway, including an all black number defined by a flowing lapel coat, layered over a fitted, elegant blazer, and matching trousers flaunting a crisp crease line. Another is the pairing of a white top and matching, elastic waist pants, placed underneath a soft grey coat, sporting a metallic silver band along its outer flap, which matches the coat’s sleeves and equally brilliant dress shoes. A unifying commitment to align complementary tones and layered pieces has been sensationally executed by Maison Margiela. Let us know where you believe its 2016 spring/summer collection ranks amongst this season’s shows in the comments section below.
