Part of the knock on Boris Bidjan Saberi’s eponymous high fashion label lies in the notion of resolution, or rather, in the question of whether the Barcelona-based designer has hit his aesthetic stride. For Spring 2016, it seems as if Saberi has indeed resolved those critical qualms, offering a rounded selection of menswear for spring 2016. Here we find the designer ramping up efforts in tailoring while still maintaining a military-noir aesthetic; Saberi tinkers with overwashed polyester, broad, thick knits and sportswear-influenced materials across a selection of quirkily tweaked pieces. The line between vests and hoodies, button-ups and pullovers, trousers and shorts are all masterfully blended into a streamlined look that Saberi may claim, rightfully, as his own.
