Apple’s Beats 1 Radio Will Begin Broadcasting Next Week

Following the official release trailer for Apple’s 24/7 Beats 1 radio station earlier this month with an exclusive first listen of Pharrell’s latest track, Apple has announced that it will begin broadcasting as early as June 30 from 8 a.m. PT. Hosted in Los Angeles by infamous Radio 1 DJ, Zane Lowe, Beats 1 will feature notable content including an introductory interview with Eminem and the likes of Drake and Pharrell scheduled to host their own shows in order to flesh out the vacant slots between DJ times. Next to Zane Lowe, the radio station will be hosted by Ebro Darden in New York and Julie Adenuga in London with Elton John reported to host “Elton John’s Rocket Hour” amongst many other incentives put in place by Apple to drive traffic and ultimately turn Beats 1 into a viable competitor. It is expected that Beats 1 will arrive alongside Apple Music and the launch of iOS 8.4 which will effectively support the software requirements of both streaming services. More information on the upcoming release can now be found directly at Apple Music with more music updates available directly from HYPETRAK.
