English mega-retailer Topman has remained on the upswing of the whole fast-fashion thing by continually expanding on its range of influence. In this way, Topman remains ahead of the curve, not necessarily on it. Here we find the label’s in-house design team offering up a collection for fall/winter 2015 that was chiefly inspired by great eras of music, including the revolutionary ’70s and the grungy ’90s. Accrordingly, Topman executes fine knitwear and oversized printed trousers while also making unabashed use of sheepskin and other textured materials. These pieces are juxtaposed by a nod to the sportswear boom, expressed here by melton outerwear, throwback sports-inspired paneling and frayed denim.
