Range Rover’s U.K. home base has developed a prototype system that allows users to control their Range Rover Sports from their respective smartphones. The app, while still in development, is a progression in its ability to not only lock and start the car, but also control the steering – which of course would be nifty in the treacherous situations the car for which the Sport is designed. Safety is at the forefront of concern for Range Rover, and accordingly, the brand has only released new visuals of the app in prototyping stage. However, the consumer advantages seem too weighty to publicly withhold for too long, so don’t be surprised to hear of more developments on this self-driving app in the future.
