Christopher Raeburn 2016 Spring/Summer Collection

Returning with his recycled military surplus garments, English designer Christopher Raeburn unveiled his 2016 spring/summer collection at London Collections: Mens this past weekend. For this extensive offering, the 32-year-old clothier drew inspiration from the “barefoot anthropologist” known as Tom Harrison, and his “native” excursion in the Borneo island in Southeast Asia. Camouflage, all-over topography prints, map-adorning tops and swinging apes, are obvious nods to Harrison’s travels through Asia, while Raeburn maintains his hallmark juxtaposition of traditional English styling with wide-legged, pleated trousers and knee-length trench coats. Additional details include cork paneling, woven bombers made to look like leaf baskets, Swiss denim parkas, sarongs and much more.
