Garrett Leight California Optical has partnered with American designer Mark McNairy once again for a new spring/summer release of sunglass and eyeglass frames. The limited edition collection offers the “Pinehurst,” a new unisex frame that is available as both a sunglass and an eyeglass. It’s offered in three colorways: dark gray “Storm”, sleek “Navy” blue, and mottled brown “Demi Tortoise” shell pattern. The round-shaped “Pinehurst” takes inspiration from 1980’s England and features 5-barrell hinges, inlaid metal surrounding each lens, and a metal bridge that has filigree detailing. “Veni Vidi Vici” (“I came, I saw, I conquered” in Latin) is embossed on the inner left temple, while McNairy’s signature “TCMB” (which stands for “Taking Care of Motherfucking Business”) motto is stamped on the inner temple tip. Each pair comes with a special edition box containing a Mark McNairy branded hard clam case and carrying pouch.
