Opening Ceremony 2015 Fall/Winter Lookbook

One of the darling retailers of New York City, Opening Ceremony‘s collections are always delightfully received. The progressive store and outlet has just presented its Fall/Winter 2015 collection, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze. Starting from Jonze’s roots documenting legendary musicians, the Opening Ceremony team expressed Jonze’s body of photography and film, using this as a segue into a greater narrative on Kodak. As such, essential pieces like crewnecks and T-shirts bear the iconic Kodak color scheme, whereas bomber jackets, trousers, and knits bear screens from Jonze’s work with the Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth and Bjork. Tying all this together are, interestingly, elongated belts – meant to iterate shoestrings and long rope belts that were once prevalent in the skateboarding world. Enjoy this look at Opening Ceremony’s upcoming collection and catch these pieces in OC doors worldwide later this year.
