Hammer Architect’s Massachusetts Long Dune Residence

The Long Dune Residence is an opulent residence located in Truro, Massachusetts. Built in 2014 by Hammer Architects, the home sits atop a coastal cliff with stunning views of Pamet river and the Atlantic Ocean. The house has a relatively low-key facade but boasts a solid entrance made up of a tall glass door framed by super-insulated wood-clad walls. Upon walking in, guests are greeted by a spacious living room adorned with simple furniture that match the home’s wooden structures. Large sliding glass doors open up to a multi-level deck and a breathtaking oceanic view. The master bedroom occupies one side of the home, while guest bedrooms occupy a separate wing. Clerestory windows — high up above eye level — provide natural sunlight and fresh air ventilation. Albeit its classic, wooden makeup, the home generates source from active and passive solar technology with its photovoltaic solar panels. Luxurious, comfortable and eco-friendly, the Cape Cod residence is a getaway one can only dream for.
