Streetsnaps: Paris Fashion Week January 2015 – Part 1

Our ongoing edition of Streetsnaps now brings us to Paris Fashion Week. Often considered the pinnacle of high fashion, housing many of the world’s most iconic brands, Paris is a crucible for emerging trends. The chilly Parisian weather inevitably results in a large showing of cold-weather outfits. Outerwear is a necessary focus here, with a huge variety ranging between down, leather, parkas and wool. Interestingly, many of the coats are outfitted with detailed design elements, such as  wool inserts, pops of color, paneling or special prints. In addition, show-goers combat the cold while staying stylish by expert layering. We see rapper A$AP Rocky clad in a fur parka over a simple black cardigan and white button-up. Designer Rick Owens rocks his usual slicked back hair with his signature monochrome style in drop-crotch pants. Pants are layered under shorts, pullovers under coats and vests over jackets all combined to personalize outfits. In an array of different textures and fabrics, there is a diverse mix of styles on the streets of PFW, just as we’ve expected to see.
