Côte&Ciel has partnered with oki-ni to bring you a short film showing the relationship between the nomadic traveler and a modern architectural cityscape. The film was shot on the fringe of Central London showing the protagonist’s transition of mindset from his weary understanding of his brutalist surroundings to curiosity and finally celebration. Celebration comes in the form of understanding textural London structure and is an exemplary location as it coincides with Côte&Ciel’s design aesthetic and innovative use of a range of materials. The film features both the Isar and Rhine rucksacks which are made of weatherproof coated canvas and the Meuse in a herringbone concrete weave. These rucksacks show that one can blend in with the man-made surroundings and in a nod to dystopian societal fiction it can be said that with assimilation, comes celebration.
