Among the roster of remastered offerings on the PlayStation 4 will soon be a decidedly last-generation, but game-changing title. Released 17 years ago in 1997 for the original PlayStation, Final Fantasy VII will be ported over and remastered with upscaled graphics for Sony’s latest gaming console. It is important to note however, that this will not be an HD version. The game was the first in the Final Fantasy series to utilize 3D computer graphics and was an immediate critical and commercial success upon release, having experienced solid unabated sales up until the present day, making it the bestselling title in the series. Diehard fans and nostalgic gamers alike will find this release welcome when it releases in Spring 2015.
