The 6B MK2 Pilot Watch from the Maker of GasGasBones Straps

From the man behind GasGasBones straps and now 6B Watches, retired survival equipment fitter Carl Evans presents his latest MK2 Pilots Chronograph Watch. Described as earnest and honest, Carl’s most recent creation is something refreshing to an industry shrouded in dubious claims and over-done marketing.

Sharing a great affiliation to the British Royal Air Force and the watches issued to and worn by serving pilots, Carl has effectively transferred his experience with parachutes and harnesses into an aesthetic durability that shines through with every product he produces. With GasGasBones flourishing, Evans has since been commissioned by the great British company, Bremont, to produce straps for their MB series of watches.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of the CWC pilot’s chronograph issued in the 1970s, the 6B MK2 features a Valjoux 7750 register layout set against a matte-black dial. Amongst other details, the watch gazettes a railroad track minute ring encased by a brushed steel exterior. Naturally, the watch comes with two GasGasBones watch straps — a stitched leather NATO-style pull-through and a nylon Velcro strap with engraved “6B” buckle that Evans himself produced.

With exquisitely detailed packaging, the 6B MK2 is limited to only 49 pieces worldwide and is available to purchase here for around $2,800.
