Pontus Alv and CONS Shred New York in “Manhattan Days”

After much ado surrounding their collaboration, Pontus Alv and Converse CONS have released “Manhattan Days” – the follow-up video to last year’s masterfully executed “Trocadero Days” clip. Here we find Alv and riders from Polar Skate Co. venturing around New York City, armed with D.I.Y. jump ramps and a souped-up shopping cart, letting their imagination for spots run free as they roam the Big Apple. Edited by Alv himself, the skaters drew inspiration from old-school Powell-Peralta videos such as Future Primitive, aiming to recreate the communal vibe so integral to street skating. With creative shredders such as Aaron Herrington, Kevin Rodriguez, and Jerome Campbell (who does his best Kalis impersonation over a particular barrier), “Manhattan Days” is a beautiful sliver of inspiration ahead of this autumnal East Coast weekend. Enjoy the clip above, then head over to Quartersnacks for their interview with Alv on the filming process.
