Nike has unveiled the Air Diamond Turf II “FSU,” which pays homage to the rich sporting history of the Florida State Seminoles, specifically its football program which has seen the likes of Deion Sanders, Derrick Brooks and more pass through its door. Lead by reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, the defending BCS National Champions — who are ranked No. 1 in The Associated Press preseason college football poll — are going into their week one matchup on August 30, 8pm EST against Oklahoma State with high expectations from their fans a.k.a. The Tribe. To mark the occasion, this timely release taps a classic off-the-gridiron silhouette from the golden era of football adorned with garnet and hits of gold, as well as “FSU” initials emblazoned on the mid-foot strap, as a nod to the tradition of the Seminoles. Standout details include a tomahawk on the heel tab and a Native American motif at the lining. The standout upper rests atop a bulbous white and black sole unit with a hit of garnet at the heel.
