Repurposed glassware into tiny greenhouses

PLANTATION is a ceramic project by Polish art and design student Alicja Patanowska. The aim is to re-purpose abandoned glassware into tiny greenhouses to grow plants and allow people to clearly observe the growth process. Patanowska collect discarded glasses found in various areas (bus stops, curbs, benches, and alleys) and transform them into miniature greenhouses by creating a handmade porcelain component and inserting them into each glass.
From the artist:

These unique porcelain components are suitable for growing plants and when turned upside down it can be used as a mini greenhouse, ideal during seed germination.
