Good morning. I’m a little late posting today’s optical illusion, but better late than never, right?
This morning, I have fun little lady optical illusion for you. It was sent to me by Kovacs through the Mighty Optical Illusions Facebook page. Take a look at this lady optical illusion and let me know what you think…
Ohh la la…right? It looks like a sultry young lady dressed in her sexiest outfit. Or undressed, I would say, with only a garter belt and stockings. The little artist appears to be sitting back admiring this gorgeous sight. At first glance, I’d say that he just finished creating a large painting of this lady.
Of course, there’s more to this lady optical illusion than meets the eye. Take a look again, and tell me what you see. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a painting surrounded by curtains! This whole lady illusion isn’t a painting after all, but a view out of a window. The curtains create the sultry lady’s curvy shape, and her garter belt is nothing more than a bridge. A tree and the ground create the illusion of stockings, thighs, and lady bits.
Not so naughty after all, eh? Or maybe we just have dirty minds!

One yellow beret and brand new photography from Osma Harvilahti
As a country with a population smaller than London, Finland sure does swing above its weight in the art and design world. Perhaps this is thanks to the three extra years of fun that Finnish kids have before starting school at the grand ole age of seven, presumably painting and doodling and letting their imaginations run wild, while other European kids are stuck in reception learning to tell the time and what-not. To celebrate this creative brilliance, Gestalten has published Out of the Blue, exploring “the essence and ambition of Finnish design”. They turned, unsurprisingly, to Osma Harvilahti for photography.
