Founded in Lausanne, Switzerland A3 Studio produce bold typographic work with bright patterns and deconstructed forms. Stretching, slicing and fading lettering it becomes almost pictorial whilst maintaining the communication inherent in each project. With commissions for galleries and design festivals as well as furniture ateliers and bookshops; the studio also exhibits its work and has received design awards, particularly for its poster work. Established by Yvo Hählen and Priscilla Balmer is 2011, A3 Studio works with a rostrum of partners and craftspeople, including fine printmakers and motion designers to complete their ambitious projects.

Photography: Elisa Noguera Lopez’ latest Mousetrap series is a real beauty

Elisa Noguera Lopez is a Spanish photographer living and working in London who specialises in creating imagery that’s rich with saturated colour and dense areas of pattern. Her still-life photographs regularly include fluffy animals of all varieties, including cats (bad!), guinea pigs (good), and mice (great!). She’s also produced a series of images based on a poem called Mousetrap Rhyme, that serves as a warning to little mice to take care when visiting kitchens late at night – so perhaps she’s a friend of mice after all. No sign of any cheese anywhere though…
