Hungerian photographer Gergo Gosztom has been working on a new series of urban landscapes using the lights from discarded Christmas trees to create haunting nightime photograph. The series titled “After Christmas” is a commentary on gross consumerism and the wastefulness of disposable seasonal decorations. Speaking about the project Gergo says, “I’ve always hated the Christmas tree. It’s a unnecessary thing. We always throw them away.”
